Hooked on Harmony
Barbershop singing (as an art form) in Ireland is alive and well: every year, the Irish Association of Barbershop Singers holds its National Convention, a celebration of this unique and very special A Cappella art form.
The event attracts choruses, quartets and mixed groups of all kinds from all over Ireland. In October 2019, we were there to compete for the coveted title of Chorus of the Year.
We won! With the wonderful contribution of our musical director Liz Foster (pictured above) we took home the coveted accolade with two numbers: What A Wonderful World and You Make Me Feel So Young.
